7 Fall 2023 Trends Our Editors Are Shopping for First

The momentum for '90s fashion is continuing strong in the F/W 23 collections. Designs ranging from minimal minidresses at Rokh to slinky mesh pieces with floral appliqués at Miu Miu to tailored leather trench coats at Chloé all look like they could have been found in Kate Moss's closet several decades ago, but feel just as relevant now.

"I'll admit I consistently lean into neutrals in my day-to-day, but there's something about a bold red (spotted on the runways of Ferragamo, Proenza Schouler, and The Row) that feels so right. The beauty of this trend is that it's easy to incorporate into a wardrobe, whether you want to dip your toe into the look with a red sock or go full out with a gorgeous red coat. I want to go for a red. jacket to team with my favorite camel sweater and light-wash jeans."—Bobby Schuessler

"Without a shadow of a doubt, my pick would be tights. I'm obsessed with them. From fishnets to classic black sheer and colorful opaque styles, I simply can't get enough of them. For me, it's all about that little touch they add to an outfit that can transform it from a fine combination into something people will remember and talk about. They also pose a fun fashion challenge as we're all slowly getting accustomed to wearing them regularly again. "If you're like me, you want to look ridiculously expensive. The dramatic drapes that walked multiple runways this past season achieve that ultra-luxury look that I'm after. This trend was first most noticeable to me at the Tove Studio show in London, but once the season wrapped up, I realized it was also a major player at Altuzarra, Blumarine, and Saint Laurent.
